About the Recipe
Ingredients
2 oz Rum (or 1 ½ oz light & ½ oz dark, spiced or over aged rum)
½ - 1 oz Triple Sec
2 tablespoons lime juice
¾ to 1 oz simple syrup (if the strawberries are not sweet enough)
2 ½ oz strawberry puree (strawberries hulled and blended until smooth). If too many strawberry “pips” pass through a fine strainer.
Preparation
Add all ingredients to shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into chilled glass with Hawthorne strainer
